ALUMINIZED CLOTHING: THE ULTIMATE BARRIER AGAINST HEAT

Natpro’s aluminized protective garments are recognized for the reliability of their materials and the quality of their workmanship. They provide a sturdy barrier wherever dangerous substances, such as molten metal, fire, flames, and high temperatures, can cause serious injuries.

Made from aramid fiber, carbon or aluminized PBI, the thin aluminum foil covering each fiber reflects infrared radiation and thus reflects radiant heat outwards. It also prevents molten metal splashes from adhering to clothing, causing them to bead up on clothing before sliding to the floor.

Most garments in this category feature an inner lining that provides double thermal insulation. This is achieved by superimposing protective materials and creating an air mattress between the 2 layers of fabric for additional insulation. Under certain conditions, these garments can withstand heat of up to 1500 °F.
